NEWS & EVENTS

  • Join us for the Carnival of Chemistry on November 23, 2008 from 1 - 4 pm in Malott Hall on the KU Campus

  • Check out the two new videos - "Chemistry in Action"

  • Dr. Daryle Busch, Roy A. Roberts Distinguished Professor, Deputy Director of the CEBC, and President of the American Chemical Society, will be presented with the Midwest Regional Award of the American Chemical Society.  The award is sponsored by the St. Louis ACS section.  The award will be presented to Dr. Busch at the Midwest Regional Meeting which is being held in Kearney, NE on October 8-10, 2008.  An accompanying symposium will be held on the afternoon of October 9, followed by a reception and banquet at the Museum of Nebraska Art.

  • Paul Hanson, Jon Tunge and Ward Thompson were visited by Chancellor Hemenway and Joe Heppert as recipients of the Kemper Award. Congratulations Paul, Jon and Ward! (Oread 8/21 and Oread 8/22)

  • Craig Lunte receives prestigious Research Achievement Award. Dr. Lunte will formally receive this award, among the highest conferred by the AAPS, at the Opening Session of the 2008 AAPS Annual Meeting and Exposition, November 16-20, 2008, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.

  • The 2007 Jayhawk Chemist is now available.
