Research interests
In the Novosibirsk Institute of Physiology of the Russian Medical Academy I am studying physiological and neurochemical aspects of adaptation to repeated stressors. Several stressors of respectively short duration and/or intensity, that themselves are not enough to cause the destructive effect, increase the resistance of the organism to the subsequent action of a strong stimuli. Mechanisms of preconditioning that underlie the contingent or noncontingent increase in efficiency of physiological functions are now in the focus of my attention. Here in the chemistry department of KU we are evaluating the activity of some neurochemical systems by means of application of microdialysis technique.
Personal Interests:
Reading, camping, mountain and water tourism, sailing (license of motorboat captain).
